About Pam

My girl Quinn and I hiking Colorado

This life and the landscape of Colorado are constant inspiration, fueling my journey as a watercolor painter and photographer.

As an artist, I portray the color and beauty around me. I paint with watercolors because I am passionate about creating work that resonates with feeling and honesty.

Traditionally trained as an emergency medicine physician, I use my expertise of anatomy to create realistic, emotionally charged watercolors. Working in the ER, I would observe much pain and suffering. Recently, I feel the need to paint the social issues and hardships many of us face.

I am a dog and horse lover, riding my horses most days in the mountains by my home. I am also an ultra runner (one of those crazies running races over 26.2 miles). Running and riding my horses through the Colorado backcountry gives me peace and ideas for my artwork.

My paintings have been in numerous exhibitions including the International American Watercolor Society’s Exhibition in New York City and are featured in the Spring 2023 edition of the Art of Watercolor Magazine (49th Issue). I am a signature member of the Western Federation Watercolor Society and the Colorado Watercolor Society. I paint commissions for private and corporate collections regionally and beyond.

For the past 15 years, I have taught watercolor. I presently am on faculty at the Art Students league of Denver and teach at the Arvada Center for the Arts. I love to share the joy of painting in watercolor with others.
